New Developments
getting you on the road sooner
February 2011
We are constantly developing new products and we have our own "inhouse" patternmaking and mould fabrication.
On this page we will announce new items that are currently being designed and fabricated.
We are constantly receiving requests for different pop tops for different types of vehicles.
We have recently developed a "universal top" that is suitable for just about any style of smaller van.
This consists of a fibreglass base that covers the cutout for the hole in the van roof and also has mounting points for the scissor lifts and canvas sock. The roof comes down over the base and can be profiled to different shaped roofs. Earlier in the year we also developed a shower module for post 07 Sprinters.
April 2011
We have also recently completed patterns and moulds for Mitsubishi L300 Vans. These vans make excellent light campers especially the four wheel drive Delica versions. The L300 has had a single generation body shape and has been the same shape for around 30 years now which must be some kind of record in vehicle mass production.
May 2011
Our current project centres on the Mercedes Sprinter, in particular the mid roof, mid wheel base version which has been used extensively in the ambulance industry. These vans are an excellent choice for a light motor-home and because lots of them have been used in the ambulance industry they have been well looked after and serviced and usually lower mileage than vehicles that have been used for general commercial transport. A good source of good quality Mercedes Sprinters is Tingalpa Light Commercials
1276 Wynnum Rd, Tingalpa QLD 4173 Ph 0418 200 222 (07) 3907 0800.
Ex Ambo Sprinters usually have upgraded seats, suspension and engines making them an excellent choice for a touring vehicle.
Because they are larger than the Hi aces and like vans, you can fit more home comforts and things like a toilet and shower. Their only drawback is the roof height is only about 1650mm internally.
We have had numerous requests for a pop top for these vehicles so we are at present developing patterns and moulds for a dedicated roof for these vehicles which should be available around July 2011.
Our door conversion will also fit these vehicles which gives more of a professional finish and you are able to build your cupboards etc. right forward to the motor-home style door.
We are also developing a rear corner shower module for these Sprinters. Stay tuned for this conversion, it will be a beauty!
We would also like to use this page as a wish list for our customers, so if you been trying to source a particular piece of "hard to find equipment" for your build, please contact us and maybe we can add it to our development list for you if there is enough commercial interest.
June 2011
June has seen the pace pick up once again. This month we finished development on a rear shower pan module incorporating a toilet plinth for a customer who intends to build these Renaults as a production product. We are also still working on the patterns and moulds for the Mercedes Sprinter pop top conversion which should be completed in the next few weeks.
This one promises to be a beauty as we have already pre sold 3 conversions. If you are interested in more headroom for your Ambo style Sprinter, then you had better enquire early as there could be quite a que.
During June we have also been working on a duel 4KG gas storage box for Ford Transits post 05 to current.
We will post photos and details of this one shortly.
July 2011
The pattern for the Ford Transit Duel 4.5k gas storage box is progressing nicely.
The plug for the making of the mould should be completed by the end of this week (8th June) and then the mould will be fabricated and we should see our first parts being shipped by the end of the following week.
